A one-day summer writing camp for your budding writers! Students in middle and high school are invited to join Bandersnatch Books for a day of writing, learning, and growing in your skills as a writer and editor!

Where: Idlewild Baptist Church CAC Building (12701 Idlewild Rd, Matthews, NC 28105)
When: Friday, July 31, 2026 | 10:00 am–3:30 pm
Cost: $50/student (family discounts available)
Bring your own lunch

Tentative schedule:
10:00–10:45 am - Opening (Writing games) - Parents welcome to join
10:45-12:15 - Writing Sprint and Sessions on topics like story structure, shaping characters, writing for rhythm and word choice, etc.
12:15–1:00 - Lunch (Bring your own!)
1:00–2:45 - Sessions on topics like story structure, shaping characters, writing for rhythm and word choice, etc.
2:45–3:30 - Learning to edit and working on the story begun in the morning’s writing sprint
3:30 - Parents welcome to join back, hang out, check out the Bandersnatch Books book table, and talk with the session instructors and students
