Beneath the Flood

Awakening readers to mysteries all around.

A collection of free verse and form poetry anchored in a prose poem on baptisms she’s witnessed, Jen Rose Yokel’s second collection of poetry has grown as she transplanted from the South to New England.

There are poems about overheard conversations, psalms of longing and lament, and a handful of poems born out of early pandemic quarantine. In this collection, Jen hopes to awaken readers to the mysteries all around and encourage them to dive deeper than what we see on the surface.
